AMERICAN GRINDER SUPPLY

Thickness, length, arc

How do I measure a screen so it fits?

Machines get modified. A model number is the start, not the finish. Measure thickness, overall length, and back-arc length. A photo of the screen in the mill helps.

If you cannot pull the screen, call anyway. We would rather talk through the measurement than cut a miss.

AGS supplies custom-cut screens. We confirm measurements before we cut. We do not guess from a shopping cart.

AGS grinder screen measurement form — thickness, length, arc
  1. 01

    Measure thickness

Plate thickness first. A model number is not a thickness.

  2. 02

    Measure overall length

End to end on the screen you have, not the catalog drawing.

  3. 03

    Measure back-arc

The curve of the chamber. A photo of the screen in the mill helps if you cannot pull it.

  4. 04

    Photograph the part

Worn holes, cracks, and how it sits in the mill beat a guess.

  5. 05

    Call before we cut

AGS confirms measurements before we cut. One call: (503) 481-8233.
