What fails first
Clean wood or dirty grind?
Clean, consistent wood wears plate. Dirty grind (C&D, land clearing, mixed waste) breaks corners, blows holes, and eats tips.
Hole shape and plate grade should follow that, not a generic “hardest steel” pitch. AGS supplies both — we will not pretend contamination is a steel-grade problem only.
Tell us what is going through the mill, not just the model number.
